With XP if you plug in the device and go to Windows update site, options, hardware you can install from there…

k ive tried a bunch of sites and i have no idea what im doing wrong it shows up on my phone that its plugged into the comp but no charge sign? can anyone help me out i dont have a charger and my phone is almost dead!

my black berry is not charging with usb cable can u tell me what kind of diriver i will install for charging i bougt new usb cable

I added in the modem usb drivers only and it started charging after 30 seconds

I still get the message "USB charging current is not sufficient." Any suggestions?

Attach your blackberry to your PC.
Wait that it detects phone (no matter whether it will say that could not install it).
Then open IE and go to http://windowsupdate.com and do an update of windows (choose Custom not Express).
After it checks for upgrade, under optional/hardware you will see driver for RIM Blackberry - add it to update, finish update.
Reboot PC. Blackberry will now be charged normally.

Works on Windows 7. Make sure your blackberry isn't plugged in during installation.

It works on XP and Vista. If yours doesnt work, why not let the Found New Hardware wizard search the web for you. It will install the same thing and will always work perfectly. let me know if that works.

It works on Windows 7, 64-bit as well.

My friend, you rule. I just got a Blackberry Bold 9700 today and spent about six hours setting it up for myself. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and couldn't get the phone to work with Desktop Manager until right before I was going to give up I saw this forum. I am shocked that something actually works with Win 7 64 because it seems like everyone I know, including myself is out of luck with most devices and calls me for a fix. Great find and kudos to you. I luv it I use my usb cord all the time.I notice a screen pop up on my phone n I say yes. It charges my phone all the time. Specially if I am at somebody resident n they have a usb cord or camara usb I use it n charges my phone. I luv it

OH YA, ONE MORE GOOD THING ABOUT THIS PROGRAM, I have a memory card in my phone so i put the program in there, now i just install the program from my phone on different computers at school, NICE!!!!!!!!!!
